R&D’s Sandwiches & Deli

Brian and April Kenyon met in 1987 in Fallon, NV, just after Brian joined the Navy. And according to Brian, the desire to open a sandwich shop had been in their dreams pretty much since they met.
The couple would frequent a local sandwich shop in Nevada, and it attracted them to the business. After moving to Medford in 1991, they went to R&D’s Sandwich and Deli when it first opened up across from the Rogue Valley Mall. That was 18 years ago, and Brian was impressed with the place.
“The couple running R&D’s at the time seemed to really enjoy making great food and treating their customers like part of their family.”

Oregon Trail Coin and Jewelry

Now located in the heart of downtown Medford

Dennis Johnson, owner of Oregon Trail Coin and Jewelry now located at 2 N. Central in the heart of downtown Medford, got his start in the coin and jewelry business at age 10 when a coin shop owner in Louisville, KY asked if he would be interested in working and learning the coin business in his shop for the summer and on weekends during the school year. "Of course I accepted the offer and from 1973 to 1979 I worked for $3 an hour learning the coin business and the proper techniques of customer service, buying and selling coins, setting up at coin shows, offering free appraisals, colored gemstone identification and diamond grading, jewelry purchasing and selling, and the fine art of being a professional business owner."

Performance and Reliability with Rogue Web Works

When Eric and Robin Gotfrid, owners of Rogue Web Works, first visited the Rogue Valley in 2005. They knew right away that this was the community and the place for them. They already had a thriving business in Half Moon Bay, California, where they provided neighboring merchants with custom web design and hosting services. Since moving to the Rogue Valley, Eric has engaged with local businesses, offering everything from top-tier web hosting to comprehensive website management. " Referral business from happy clients has been keeping me very busy," Eric said.

We caught up with Eric and asked him what makes web hosting at Rogue Web Works such a great opportunity for Rogue Valley business people.
"You get more performance and reliability than you see with the big hosting providers. We put a lot more resources into our hosting network, and users can see the difference."

Rogue Wave Now Offering Guided
SUP Tours on the Rogue River

If you've been to any of the area lakes over the past few years, chances are you've seen a stand-up paddle boarder. SUP is wildly popular on flat water, and now, thanks to the likes of Rogue Valley native Jake Baracker, you can take guided SUP tours down the Rogue River.
Just last month Jake launched his guide business, Rogue Wave SUP Outfitter and Guide, LLC. "I want to share the stoke of paddle boarding and surfing in a way that is accessible to locals," Jake said. "With the popularity of flat water paddle boarding growing locally, I felt there was a need for an experienced paddler to introduce others to SUP on local rivers."
