Organic Beautiful Skin, Balanced Within™
at Organic Elements Spa

Tamara Miller, owner of Organic Elements Spa at 832 E. Main Street in downtown Medford got her start in the beauty industry at Nordstrom's selling Clinique when she was just14 years old. A number of years later, she was the Lead Esthetician and Spa Manager of the Montage Resort & Spa, a 5-star spa in Laguna Beach catering to the likes of Trya Banks, Jennifer Anisotn and Oprah, where she managed about 50 employees. "All of my education and work experience led me to create Organic Elements Spa (OES)," Tamara said. "I created the spa to give local women somewhere to disconnect from their busy world and hectic schedules."

At OES, clients can purchase monthly memberships to their Ladies Lounge, which features access to all of their spa facilities, including a tea lounge, cedar sauna, and whirlpool. "The Ladies Lounge gives our guests the opportunity to commit to spending quality time for their health and well-being on a monthly basis," Tamara said.

Performance and Reliability with Rogue Web Works

When Eric and Robin Gotfrid, owners of Rogue Web Works, first visited the Rogue Valley in 2005. They knew right away that this was the community and the place for them. They already had a thriving business in Half Moon Bay, California, where they provided neighboring merchants with custom web design and hosting services. Since moving to the Rogue Valley, Eric has engaged with local businesses, offering everything from top-tier web hosting to comprehensive website management. " Referral business from happy clients has been keeping me very busy," Eric said.

We caught up with Eric and asked him what makes web hosting at Rogue Web Works such a great opportunity for Rogue Valley business people.
"You get more performance and reliability than you see with the big hosting providers. We put a lot more resources into our hosting network, and users can see the difference."

Rogue Wave Now Offering Guided
SUP Tours on the Rogue River

If you've been to any of the area lakes over the past few years, chances are you've seen a stand-up paddle boarder. SUP is wildly popular on flat water, and now, thanks to the likes of Rogue Valley native Jake Baracker, you can take guided SUP tours down the Rogue River.
Just last month Jake launched his guide business, Rogue Wave SUP Outfitter and Guide, LLC. "I want to share the stoke of paddle boarding and surfing in a way that is accessible to locals," Jake said. "With the popularity of flat water paddle boarding growing locally, I felt there was a need for an experienced paddler to introduce others to SUP on local rivers."

Building Blocks Learning Center

Medford native Kristin Carnighan, the founder of Building Blocks Learning Center, has now teamed up with lifelong friend Heather Welch. After Heather substituted for Kristin last year, she knew she'd be a perfect fit at Building Blocks.
"Heather and I have been close friends for 25 years and have been able to share ideas and techniques for inspiring and motivating children to learn and grow," Kristin said. "She is a very energetic, passionate and compassionate individual. Building Blocks Learning Center is lucky to have such an amazing teacher.
"I believe that each student comes to class with a backpack full of knowledge," Kristin continued. "Our job is to help them unpack it, learn from it, and share it with others."

Wicklund Veterinary Care

Medford resident Jennifer Wicklund grew up wanting to be a veterinarian, as do many young girls. But in college, that dream got away from her and she took up the study of geology. "This led me to working in the field of paleontology for a short time and having the experience of a lifetime digging dinosaur bones in the deserts of Wyoming!" Jennifer said.
After growing up in Medford, Wicklund spent 16 years in Minnesota, and after conversation with a long-lost relative, she pursued a veterinary studies as a second career. "Upon graduation from veterinary school in 2007, I moved back to Medford to be closer to my family and start private veterinary practice at Best Friends Animal Hospital," Jennifer said.
