Wicklund Veterinary Care

Medford resident Jennifer Wicklund grew up wanting to be a veterinarian, as do many young girls. But in college, that dream got away from her and she took up the study of geology. "This led me to working in the field of paleontology for a short time and having the experience of a lifetime digging dinosaur bones in the deserts of Wyoming!" Jennifer said.
After growing up in Medford, Wicklund spent 16 years in Minnesota, and after conversation with a long-lost relative, she pursued a veterinary studies as a second career. "Upon graduation from veterinary school in 2007, I moved back to Medford to be closer to my family and start private veterinary practice at Best Friends Animal Hospital," Jennifer said.

NewAge Natural & Organic Carpet Cleaning

When Michael Kozak first started NewAge Natural and Organic Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning in 1989 he was lucky to get involved with and learn from some very high end interior designers, fabric protection companies, and two cleaners that were highly respected in the industry. "I got educated in the industry from some of the best who are now no longer around, and I learned how to clean the finest carpeting, upholstery, and fabrics available including hand-knotted oriental rugs," Michael said.
In the 25 years since, NewAge has cleaned million dollar homes to car interiors, and anything in between. "I realized that the chemicals everyone else was using were toxic and dangerous, and I did not want to expose my customers or myself to these residues," he continued. "So we clean with a truck-mounted system with non-toxic cleaners and extremely hot water, which is a very effective method that won't off gas in your home."

Marlene Nuckols, owner of MaryJane's Attic, takes great pride in the fact that every piece of merchandise in her shop is made right here is the USA. "I wanted to create a store that supports the local economy—and helps the country's economy—by selling American made merchandise," Marlene explained.
Her retail career began over 20 years ago at a baseball card and sports memorabilia store. "The owner took me under her wing and showed me how to shop on a whole other level. I was hooked," Marlene said.
