Relief with CBDs from Murphy Hemp Store

April 2019

Murphy Hemp CompanyWhen Kit Doyle moved to Josephine County from Southern California in 1994, marijuana and hemp were both illegal. Today, not only are both cannabis products legal and available, but they are contributing to an economic bonanza for southern Oregon. And as owner of Murphy Hemp Company (with three locations in Josephine County) Doyle is part of that economy.

“I moved here wanting to raise my family in a rural, traditional setting,” Kit said. “I had zero experience with cannabis when I first started five years ago, besides having a pot plant in my backyard as a teenager. I was motivated to the hemp side of the industry because it solves many of today’s modern problems.”

And by “problems,” Kit is referring to health. “Seeing all of the chronic illnesses people were developing with increasing numbers in our country and around the world, I realized we needed to do a better job than we’re doing now in addressing those illnesses,” he said. “CBD (cannabidiol) is commonly found in hemp varieties of Cannabis and is used for relief of many different ailments.”

The staff at Murphy Hemp has received accolades for helping people find the right product for their specific ailments. “Our employees are passionate about the use of CBDs and that inspires them to stay up to date on the latest information available in our field,” Kit said. “Customers should expect to be patiently listened to and have their problems met with an educated recommendation.”

Murphy Hemp Company now has three locations: 405 NE F Street in Grants Pass; 6890 Williams Highway in Murphy; and 154 Merlin Road in Merlin.

“We also grow our own crops and produce our own products,” Kit said. “We actually planted the first legal hemp coup in southern Oregon in over 80 years, and we were the first local, easily accessible CBD store in our area that did not require any special cards or identification. Our goal is to help expand the market, create jobs for young people, build up the community, and improve the lives of people through the use of natural medicine.”

All three stores carry a vast selection of hemp/CBD products. “We offer flowers, tinctures, sweets, edibles, capsules, vape pens, topicals, transdermal patches, pet products, hemp apparel and accessories, and much more,” Kit said. “Along with buying in-store, we also ship. You can place orders either over the phone or through our website at murphyhempcompany.com.”

The downtown store also offers weekly educational classes (free) and weekly yoga classes (small charge). For more info, call 541-761-5944 (GP) or 541-862-7420 (Murphy). You can also see them on Facebook.
