The 2017 conference theme is “Today’s Truths - Tomorrow’s Opportunities for Change.” Attendees will experience two days of learning, networking and inspiration while exploring solutions to some of the most timely and pressing issues facing our planet.

Larks Home Kitchen Cuisine, with locations in Ashland and Medford, was named the 2017 Wine Program of the Year by the Oregon Wine Press and the Oregon Wine Board as part of the 2017 Oregon Wine A-List Awards. This program recognizes 124 restaurants around the world that display deep appreciation, enthusiasm and support for Oregon wines as seen in the diversity of regions and varieties on their wine lists.

Jade has long been recognized by Eastern cultures for its healing and protective properties. So it is no surprise that Kara and Jason Miller would incorporate the gemstone into the name of their nontraditional medical practice. The two have practiced Chinese medicine at Jade Mountain Medicine (190 Oak, Suite 2), which they opened in Ashland in 2006.

Talent Café Celebrates Eleven Years

At the Talent Café (160 N. Pacific Highway) owner Denise O’Brien and her crew are celebrating eleven years in business. The café is famous for its great, simple, home-cooked meals and a relaxing atmosphere.

“Our food is fresh and locally sourced,” Denise said. “It is prepared and served with love, respect and a playful sense of humor. The Talent Café is a place run by a motley crew of foodies who nourish people and community.”
