Coldwell Banker—A Full-Service Real Estate Office

June 2016

Coldwell BankerAs a Realtor for over 27 years and a principal broker for 20, Rick Harris has had an illustrious career in Ashland. He was co-owner and trainer for Kelso Real Estate, a broker with RE/MAX Realty Group, and in 2005 he and his business partner Rachelle Beveridge opened the Coldwell Banker Pro West Ashland franchise at its current location at 190 Oak Street.

“Coldwell Banker Ashland is a diverse, energetic brokerage with highly skilled agents focusing on new construction, re-sale homes, commercial sales and leasing,” Rick said. “We represent the majority of new residential construction in Ashland and have broad experience in residential, land development, rural sales, and commercial development. Buyers and sellers get outstanding service and attention to their unique needs.”

Rick grew up in Spokane, Washington, and he and his wife both graduated from the University of Oregon and moved to Ashland in 1984 to teach at the Theatre Department at SOU.

“I have an MFA in Scenery and Lighting Design, and my wife has an MFA in Costume Design,” he said. “After one year, I went on the road, taught in Eugene, and after a few more years of a vagabond designer lifestyle, was back in Ashland to settle down and change careers to real estate.”

The agents at Coldwell Banker are an eclectic bunch, from published authors and long-distance runners to commercial builders, project development managers, historic property specialists, sharp shooters and international speakers.

“We’re truly representative of the diversity of the Ashland community,” Rick said. “At Coldwell Banker, buyers and sellers are more than just customers; they’re clients for life. There is no pressure, and we always put our clients’ needs first. We know the real estate business inside and out, and we bring that outstanding expertise to every transaction, every time. I once listed, sold, and closed a property in Phoenix in under 21 hours—but not everything goes that quickly.”

Rick and his wife own a small horse ranch in Talent specializing in dressage horses. He has also taught real estate courses across the country and in Vietnam as part of a real estate trade mission in 2008.
The office also specializes in subdivision design, land use planning, portfolio diversification, estate evaluation and planning, investment purchase and analysis, expert court testimony, and feng shui design.
