FRIENDLY SERVICE AT A STREET PRINT & PARCEL

February 2023

A Street Printing and ParcelOver at A Street Print & Parcel (258 A Street), owner Steve Barnard will be celebrating his 15th year in business this year, while his second business, Studio 10, was started in April 2020. The two businesses are definitely keeping Steve busy.

“We are a go-to resource for packing, shipping, printing and business service needs,” Steve said. “We focus on saving you time and money by ensuring you get the right products and services at the right price. We can pack and ship (almost) anything to (almost) anywhere in the world, but shipping is only one way we can help to make your life easier. In addition to our pack and ship service, we also offer copy, print and document services, plus an on-site notary public. Large or small, black & white or color, if it can be printed, we can handle it. We are a one-stop shop for dozens of business products and services.”

The print side of the shop offers business cards, document finishing, graphic design, copying, photo printing, poster and banner printing, postcards, and print and document services. If you need anything printed or reproduced, this is the place to go.

Meanwhile, Studio 10 con-centrates on photo and art reproductions, large format printing, signs and banners, and film developing. The large format scanner can take original works of art and/or digital files and print full-size reproductions on many different media, including canvas, metal and vinyl. They also offer photo restoration, turning that old pic you thought was lost to the sands of time into something that could’ve been taken yesterday.

It is certainly a family-run business as Steve’s sons Nick and Remy work at the shop, while daughter Whitney is currently taking time off to be with her twin girls who were born last June. At the front desk, Marion greets customers, while in the back Jonathan and Ethan, both Ashland residents, handle the heavy equipment in Studio 10.

For Steve, it’s been a tough eight months. “I was in a motorcycle accident last summer and spent three weeks in the hospital in Medford,” he said. “I had surgery on my right leg below the knee and received twelve screws and three plates. I received physical therapy at home and went from a wheelchair to a walker, then two crutches, one crutch, and now I’m able to walk on my own. I’m still not 100% but I can get around in the shop and ‘hi’ to all my customers. I want to give a big shout out to Ashley Rose of Embody Physical Therapy who got me through this.”

Steve moved to Ashland from Portland in 2000 and worked in cable TV and satellite sales and installation for six years. He drove a FedEx truck for a year before opening his own FedEx authorized shipping center in 2008 in the back of A Street Copy. Eighteen months later he purchased the shop and merged the two businesses as A Street Print & Parcel.

“Print customers can expect professional designers to help them flesh out their ideas onto printed cards, brochures, art work, signs, and banners,” he said. “Shipping customers can expect the best options for documents, personal items, art, valuables, etc. When Advanced Photo & Imaging closed after 30 years during the pandemic, I felt it would leave a void in Ashland and Southern Oregon, so we purchased their equipment and set it up as Studio 10. We also purchased two new large format printers, a large format scanner, and a FotoZoomer kiosk system for photo scanning and printing.”
