WOMEN’S HEALTH AT MEDFORD WOMEN’S CLINIC
September 2023
Medford Women’s Clinic, LLP (3170 State Street, Medford) opened in 2000. Doctors Carissa Ross, Mary Strizzi, Emily Steinbis, and Jonathan Freeman provide a wide range of women-related services, including low- and high-risk obstetrics, problem based gynecology, in-office procedures, and surgeries.
The physicians all live locally, and they deliver and operate at Rogue Regional Medical Center (RRMC). Drs. Freeman, Steinbis and Ross are from Texas and moved here to be closer to family and to enjoy the outdoors of the Pacific Northwest. Dr. Strizzi was attracted to the small town feel of the Rogue Valley reminiscent of the farming community in Northern California where she was born and raised. They all enjoy the small, family-friendly area and amazing scenery.
The doctors are all specialized in Ob-Gyn. They enjoy taking care of women, whether to help them through pregnancy/birth, or to evaluate/treat gynecologic problems such as heavy uterine bleeding, fibroids, contraception, pre-cancer of the cervix, etc. They like the personalized care that private practice allows, and they deliver 90% of their own babies. They perform both low-risk and high-risk births, including twin deliveries and vaginal birth after cesarean section. They perform many gynecologic surgeries with a focus on minimally invasive procedures with laparoscopy and robotics. Surgeries include hysteroscopy, hysterectomy, laparoscopy, and many more.
The Clinic also has three amazing nurse practitioners—Loretta Sando-val, Kendall Olson-Cassidy and Kathryn Stringer, who has won Sneak Preview’s favorite nurse practitioner. They focus on gynecologic care, including routine wellness exams, evaluation/treatment of gynecologic problems, and providing hormone replacement therapy. They do not, however, offer primary care services.
The physicians at Medford Women’s Clinic are highly skilled surgeons who perform the most up-to-date gynecological surgeries:
