Cascade West Expands Its Services

When Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP) Linda Picker-Johnson and her husband visited Grants Pass in 2007, they instantly fell in love with the area.
"We were interested at that time in opening a medical practice here, and we had actually visited several other states," Linda said. "We loved southern Oregon and everything it had to offer and moved here the next year. On May 2, 2011, we opened Cascade West Primary Care Clinic with a very small crew that has grown substantially since then."
The Clinic provides primary care to adult patients with a full range of health care, not only managing chronic health problems such as diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease, COPD, and asthma, but also wellness management, preventative health care, and acute illness.

Keeping Your Pet Happy at Groom at the Top

When it comes to pampering your dog and/or cat, nothing is too good. Just ask Brody, our 4-year-old dog who has a collection of "toys" that would put Santa's elves to shame, or Mau Mau, our 9-year-old Abyssinian cat who is the queen of the house.
When it comes to keeping your animals happy on a day-to-day basis, nothing says it better than a visit to the pet groomer (like Lassie once said, "It's better to look good than to feel good"). Here in Grants Pass, owners Tim and Holly Reyes of Groom at the Top, which recently opened at 128 SE K Street, want to make sure your pets are pampered from head to toe.

Professional Auto Body Repair at Star Body Works

Star Body Works is well-known in the Rogue Valley, as they been serving valley customers for 65 years. Co-owner Mark Lamensdorf, along with his brother Art, bought the business in 1990 and they have since added service centers in Rogue River and Talent before opening a shop in Grants Pass earlier this year at 715 Union Avenue.
"Art and I learned how to work on cars at our uncle's towing company in southern California early on," Mark said. "After high school I started my own collision shop and by the time we moved to Oregon I had been operating for over 15 years. We moved to Oregon 24 years ago for a better quality of life and because we love to fish and hunt."

Getting the Most Value at J. Austin Coin & Jewelry

When Mark and Andrea Hutto, owners of J. Austin Coin & Jewelry (217 SE 6th) met in Hungary in 1996, they knew it was love at first sight.
"We were there as college exchange students buying estates," Mark said. "I had been living in the Rogue Valley since 1994 and started buying and selling coins. Andrea grew up under a very oppressive Communist regime in Romania and escaped on a train with her family when she was 12. When she came to the U.S., she saw the opportunities available to her."

Two Locations for Copeland Paving

Copeland Paving and Copeland Sand & Gravel have been providing the best service possible to the community for asphalt and aggregate needs since 1947. Bob Copeland Sr. was actually stationed at Camp White before shipping out in World War II, and after the war he returned to the Rogue Valley.
The Copeland family has seen many additions and changes over the years, beginning with Grants Pass Fuel, delivering heating oil from Portland to homes and schools in the 1950s, to maintaining roads and road construction today.
