ARTISTIC PIANO GALLERY GEARING UP FOR A MOVE

July 2021

Artistic PianoWhether playing an instrument or simply enjoying an outdoor concert, music is an important part of our lives. At the Artistic Piano Gallery in Medford (1390 Biddle Road, Suite 107), which opened its doors in 2009, they have continued to evolve and grow in order to meet the needs of the Southern Oregon community.

“We are proud to be the authorized dealer of Yamaha pianos for our area,” said owner Eric Werner, who is a Registered Piano Technician. “We also focus on maintaining a selection of vintage Steinway pianos along with more affordable used piano options.”

Eric is a veteran of professional symphony orchestras as a musician. After four years at the University of Southern California Conservatory of Music and twelve years playing in the New Orleans Symphony, he began to envision a new career path based on his love and fascination with music. After playing a couple of gigs for the Britt Symphony Orchestra in the early 2000s, he fell in love with Southern Oregon and moved here with his family in 2005.

“I had spent many years as a registered piano tuner/technician, and I felt that the Rogue Valley needed a state-of-the-art piano store,” said Eric, who went on to receive high-level training at the Yamaha and Fazioli piano factories. He has been the official piano technician at Britt Festivals for many years, as well as the Craterian Theater and many other institutions.

“In recent years we have expanded to become the authorized dealer for Yamaha brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments as well as Eastman stringed instruments,” he said. “We maintain a selection of entry-level and intermediate brasswinds and stringed instruments for sale, rent, and rent-to-own. Along with our growing band & orchestra department, we also offer accessories and repair services, as well as a sheet music department.”

The core mission at Artistic Piano is “to provide excellent musical instruments, accompanied by excellent customer service, in a professional and friendly environment that celebrates music and the joy of music making.”

“Our tag line is “Great Pianos, Great Service, & Great People,” Eric said. “And that is truly what we aim for every day.”

Breaking news: The Artistic Piano Gallery will move to 112 W. Main Street in downtown Medford by the end of summer. Ironically, they learned that the building was a piano store in the late 1800s. Life is just one big circle.

The phone number is 541-622-8707, and you can see them at artisticpianogallery.com and on Facebook.
