Countryside Village Retirement Completes Its Community
Countryside Village Retirement opened their new memory care community on Friday, June 21st. Owned and overseen by two Oregon-based families, the Denses and the Hortons, Countryside Village has grown since its opening in 2005. Starting as an Independent Living community and adding 16 Assisted Living apartments in 2009, they have now finished their journey with the completion of their 20-suite memory care community, “The Countryside Village Lodge”.
“We offer a fresh new approach to memory care,” said Executive Director Linda Griesser. “We focus on farm-fresh family-inspired meals with limited gluten influences to support memory. Our attentive staff has received specific dementia training through Teepa Snow’s national renowned “positive approach to care.’ The focus at Countryside is to make life enjoyable for its residents.”
The “Lodge” offers a unique lighting system that mimics the outside natural light to regulate circadian rhythms, and the limited gluten kitchen focuses on farm-fresh meals which is shared at the gathering table. Their program “Stepping Stones” engages residents in the joy of living. “Tranquility” bringing daily soothing experiences creating a sense of peacefulness and calm, and “Liveliness” using music and movement to bring joy and inspiration by encouraging creative expression, are just a few of the daily choices to bring those moments of joy.
Across its community, Countryside Village offers comfortable accommodations, delicious farm fresh all-day dining, and a wealth of amenities and services. Some of those include a dynamic wellness program, effective brain health classes, stimulating educational lectures, fun community events, balanced physical training, abundant lifestyle options, weekly housekeeping, oversized patios and balconies and much much more.
“No matter what your passions are, Countryside Village has something for you,” Linda said. “You can relax with a good book by the fire in our inviting library, meet with friends over coffee or enjoy something sweet in the café.”
Whether you want to experience independent living in one of their comfortable apartments or spacious cottages, need a little extra help with round the clock care in their assisted living, or feel that your loved one is in need of a memory care community, Countryside Village is the place for you.
