Anderson Bradley Krant, P.C. an Ashland women-owned law firm located at 450 Siskiyou, Suite 3, is celebrating almost 12 years in Ashland. The firm was created when both Carolyn Anderson and Susan Krant had young children, and they decided that the best way to help clients, stay close to the community, and remain involved in the education and activities of their children was to form a law firm in Ashland, which allowed them to practice law while honoring family commitments.
It is only fitting that the first associate hired at the firm is also a young mother interested in high quality legal assistance to clients balanced with family time and community involvement.
“We figured it was about time to grow our firm, so we hired a fantastic Ashland native, Alexzandra Watson,” Susan said. “Alex loves Ashland, and she enjoys helping clients on estate planning, trust administration, and other elder law needs.”
When she is not in the office, Alex loves spending time with her young family. Her husband, DaMario, Sr., is an SOU alum who played football for the Raiders. DaMario, Jr., their 15-year-old son, carries on the family tradition as an Ashland High sophomore playing running back for the Grizzlies, shooting hoops with the basketball team, and running track.
In her time at Ashland High, Alex also played soccer when she wasn’t enjoying her other passion: reading. To continue with the sports enthusiasm in the family, little Zadrian, almost three years old, can’t decide if soccer and basketball are better than playing with the goats, horses, and other animals at Grandma’s Farm.
Alex met her husband at SOU and graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. She later attended the University of San Francisco School of Law. Alex notes that, “One of the best parts of preparing trusts and wills for families is the big smile and sense of relief people express when they sign and finalize their completed documents. No matter their age or place in life, they are so grateful to have this weight of uncertainty lifted from their shoulders. “
