Constellation Work with Lexi Alma

It was a fairly auspicious day when Lexi Alma (formerly Delgado) moved to Ashland with her then husband and2-year-old son. It was New Year’s Day, right in the midst of the infamous Flood of January 1-2, 1997. “We came from Costa Rica, where we’d lived for six years,” Lexi said. “We had photos of the Food Co-op bulletin board, but it was the rumors of amazing nature, strong community mindedness and dreams for our family that brought me here sight unseen. It’s an amazing place to live and work and raise a family.”As a clinically trained therapist and group facilitator, with degrees in education counseling psychology and group facilitation, Lexi has a practice specializing in adolescents, couples and individuals.“The otheraspect of my practice is Constellation Work, which is slowly becoming more well known here in the U.S.,” Lexi said. “It is a profound but gentle, experiential way to explore the hidden patterns behind personal or relationship challenges. It helps make theinvisible visible so you can find clarity, ease, and new possibilities. This is a group process. It is amazing to me that it’s taken this long since COVID for folks to be comfortable gathering again, but it seems like we are not only ready, we are really longing to gather and rebuild what’s been lost from the isolation and disharmony of the past few years.”Lexi lovesbringing people together to face the real challenges we all share as humans. “We’re wired to support one another, even though many of us were taught to keep our struggles private,” she said. “One of my guiding beliefs is that everyone’s work is everyone’s work. There’s something deeply healing about recognizing yourselfin someone else’s story, and something profoundly grounding about knowing that your presence helped another person move through a difficult moment—often helping you find your own way, too.”Stepping into a group of strangers can be scary or difficult but Lexi’s Constellation Work is a truly welcoming and safe space.“There is a wonderful and devoted community of people who assemble for these workshops,” Lexi said. “We’d love to welcome those new to the work or curious to join us for any of the upcoming events. The next one is January 17that Hidden Springs Wellness Center and then there’s another on March 14th. I do private constellations and spontaneous events regularly, and the best way to know about those is to sign up for my newsletter or by sending me a quick email at lexi@alexisalma.com.I am careful not to crowd people’s inboxes!”Lexi’sone-on-one work is very body-based. “We learn by ‘knowing’ in our bodies, not just our heads,” she said. “My work is trauma informed but strengths focused. In hard times we can forget about our strengths and skills. Folks can expect to jump right in, to feel safe and seen, to walk out with tools and skills they can immediately apply to their lives. My work with teens is grounded, supportive and often includes the parents. My work with couples follows the work of Terry Real and works with the simple but life changing principles of harmony, rupture and repair—all normal and healthy aspects of every relationship as long as we know how to move from one to the other.”For more information, Lexi can be reached at 541-631-9456. You can also see her at alexisalma.com and on Facebook and Instagram.“Beyond professional experience, I come to this work as a person who’s also in the thick of life—parenting, relationships, and everything in between,” Lexi said. “I know how it feels to lose your footing or need support, and I offer a grounded space where you don’t have to figure it all out alone.
