HOUSE OF INDIA CELEBRATES TWO YEARS

House of India

Srinivasarao “Srinu” Vellanki recently celebrated two years in Ashland with his restaurant House of India, located at 1667 Siskiyou Boulevard, but he’s no stranger to the restaurant business.

“I previously owned India’s Kitchen in Medford for 17 years and would get many customers from Ashland as well,” Srinu said. “I’ve been in the restaurant industry for almost 30 years. This is the field that I started in when I first came to the States, and this is the field that has allowed me to raise and support my family.  We’ve lived in Southern Oregon for almost 20 years, and we love it here.”

At House of India, they offer an extensive array of dishes from both Southern and Northern India.

“Our menu features items such as the Dosa, which isn’t found in many Indian restaurants in the Rogue Valley,” Srinu said. “We have a wide selection of authentic Indian dishes, including many vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options. The menu features high-quality ingredients, generous portion sizes, and a rotating buffet with a variety of flavors. Guests can enjoy a variety of drink options, including Indian specialties such as chai, mango lassi, Indian beer, wine, and more.”

When you step into House of India, you’ll immediately be welcomed by the rich aromas of Indian spices, and the warm, inviting ambiance of their thoughtfully decorated dining space. From the moment you enter, you’ll feel the essence of India, where every corner of the restaurant reflects the vibrant culture and culinary traditions of the subcontinent.

House of India showcases the diverse flavors of India, from the fiery curries of the North to the fragrant rice dishes and coastal delicacies of the south. Each dish is prepared with the freshest ingredients and authentic, time-honored recipes to deliver the true taste of India.

Extremely popular is the Grand Lunch Buffet 7 days a week for only $15.99 and a Grand Dinner Buffet on Fri-Sat for $21.99. The restaurant is open every day from 11am-9pm.

The restaurant also offers an online ordering system. Delivery is available through DoorDash, and customers can place pickup orders through Uber Eats and Grubhub. They also provide catering services for large events, local businesses, and special occasions.

“Our outdoor seating provides a peaceful setting with a koi pond, gentle waterfall, and surrounding greenery,” Srinu said. “It is a relaxing spot to enjoy a meal.”
