MY HEARING CENTERS CARES FOR YOU
July 2025
One of the sad facts of life is that after so many years of constant use, one’s hearing is eventually going to become less acute. I’m not saying that we’re going to end up being deaf, but a high percentage of us will need to get hearing aids. If we are proactive and get regular hearing tests, hearing loss can be addressed sooner than later.
The good news is that the technology behind hearing aids is making them more efficient and less notable than the old clunky ones of days past. At My Hearing Centers (1833 Nebraska Avenue), they’ve been serving the Rogue Valley for over 12 years. The company was founded in Sandy, Utah, in 2010 and has grown to over 100 offices, becoming the fastest-growing hearing practice in the western United States.
Robyn Kimmel is the Hearing Instrument Specialist in the Grants Pass office, and she is totally committed to her work and the clients she serves.
“I started helping people with their hearing back in the late 1980s with a wonderful provider, Diane Carrillo,” Robyn said. “When she retired, I just moved to the next phase of my life raising my 4 children. Who would have thought that 30 years later I would re-enter the field and pick up where I left off. I continue to grow in this career, and it is with the grace of God that I am able to help as many people as I have. Our goal at My Hearing Centers is to help those who want to hear better and design a plan that fits the need. The office provides a comfortable environment with coffee, water and goodies while you wait for your appointment. People can come and receive a “hearing evaluation” with an explanation of what that test revealed and how their situation can be addressed, by looking at lifestyles, family, and overall listening environment.
“We offer many different styles and manufacturers to choose from,” Robyn said. “Signia is our signature product, but we offer others such as Phonak, Widex, and Starkey. We accept VA clients, as well. Our Complete Care services offer our clients the best and most comprehensive service for their hearing care needs. We accept most all insurances, and all hearing tests are done by appointment only. You can expect that we will treat you and your loved ones with the best care and genuine kindness.”
Robyn has lived in the Rogue Valley for over 25 years. She grew up in Diamond Bar, California, and then moved to Pinon Hills California, where she raised her kids until her father passed away. “I had two boys who lived here in Oregon, and I decided to move here to be closer to family,” she said.
For Robyn, her job is always about finding solutions. “I believe that our area needs more people who really care about the people in the community that they serve,” she said. “I want to make a difference for those who thought they could not get help. It’s all about finding solutions. Our goal is to make a difference by giving the good information to make the best decision for their better hearing journey.”
