Summit Family Dental Care

In today's world, we all know it is important to put your best foot forward with a confident smile. In fact, 50% of people say a smile is the first thing they notice when meeting someone. This may not be a surprise, but did you know dental health is also directly related to your overall health? Bacteria that cause gum disease can get into the bloodstream and contribute to artery clogging plaques, causing heart attacks and strokes. The same bacteria are also linked to diabetes and respiratory infections along with premature births. Keeping your mouth in good condition is crucial in being healthy and feeling your best. This is why it is also very important to find a good dentist and to go in for cleanings and check ups regularly. The dentists at Summit Family Dental Care, Drs. Ian Erickson DMD and Nicole Keck-Erickson DMD were voted Medford's Best Dentist 2014 by readers of the Sneak Preview, and they can help improve every aspect of your oral health.

HealthWay Nutrition Center

For Dennis and Pat Giles, owners of HealthWay Nutrition Center in the Medford Center, the desire to be their own bosses ended up turning into a fulfilling vocation. "We both had a strong desire to own our own business," Dennis said, "And HealthWay was a perfect fit as Pam grew up in a strong nutritionally-based household. (Her parents still maintain a garden and continue to share their fresh fruits and veggies to this day.) What we didn't expect is how rewarding getting to know our customers and playing a role in their healing experience would be."

At Healthway, they aim to bridge the gap between the more modern health food store and the old school, mom-and-pop shop. "You'll find us professional and well organized, yet still possessing the nutritional knowledge of old (and new!), as well as the extra care that goes into a family owned business," Dennis said.

Sculpt Fitness Studio

For Brandon Overstreet, opening up his own fitness studio just made sense. "Well, I've always been an athlete, and have always enjoyed helping and working with people. So to help others improve their health and wellbeing was just a perfect fit for me."
Brandon first started his personal training business offering his services to people at their homes. "I did that for a couple years and it was very rewarding," Brandon said. "But I eventually grew tired of driving all over the Rogue Valley. I had outgrown that and wanted my own turf. So I found my own space and here we are." His new space, Sculpt Fitness Studio, is located at The Shoppes at Exit 24 in Phoenix, perfectly located between Ashland and Medford.
