Innovative Denture & Hybrid Is There for You

Countryside Village RetirementReplacing one’s teeth can be a touchy topic, and Mark Hidde and David Lindsay at Innovative Denture & Hybrid strive to make the process as seamless as possible.

“We are focused on educating our patients on their options and ensuring a positive experience for them,” David said. “We have a referral network of oral surgeons and periodontists who place implants, and we work closely with them in the planning stage. We use technology to help with communication (Bellus 3D app), photographs and video, along with having the advantage of a digital department at our disposal for design and printing/milling of prototype appliances.”

The office, which is located at 1150 Crater Lake Avenue, Suite F, in Medford, is run by David.
“I got started in the dental lab industry in 1976, and my wife Dawn and I moved to Oregon from Tucson in 2015,” he said. “I was working at a dental office and spoke to them about the benefits of having a Denturist on staff. Toward the end of 2016 I still hadn’t gotten any response about it, and then I received a call about an opportunity in Medford at Rogue Valley Dental Arts. Mark and I had several conversations over the next couple of months and finally in February of 2017 I went to work for Mark and opening up the Removable side. I finished my schooling at the end of 2018 and began my externship (working on patients under supervision).”

David has been a Dental Lab Technician for 40 plus years, with a focus on removable and implants/hybrids. “I started working with implants in the mid 80’s and have continued to work with the focus on overdentures and hybrids,” he said. “I enjoy the interaction with the patient that is missing when just working as a lab technician. Currently there is a need for individuals with denture knowledge, as dental schools aren’t focusing on dentures as part of their curriculum.”
The office is currently in the early stages of being able to create digital dentures, processing via milling or 3D printing.

“The advantage of a digital denture is that we are able to quickly reproduce the appliance rather than having to start over again (the whole process having to be done again) from initial impressions,” David said. “We make every effort to develop close working relationships with dentists and oral surgeons to ensure that their patients receive the best oral health care possible.”

David and Dawn have two sons and two grandsons with a granddaughter currently on the way. Dawn is a Broker with Coldwell Banker Pro West in Medford and is helping at Innovative Denture and Hybrid as the receptionist/office manager.

David’s interests outside dentistry include the grandkids, martial arts, snow skiing, biking, photography, camping, traveling, woodworking, and shooting.

“I absolutely love Southern Oregon,” he said.
