CANNABIS SERVICES AT REBEL ROOTS FARMS
March 2023
As a lifelong advocate for cannabis, Niles Christodoulidis was intrigued by the idea of being able to participate in a burgeoning market similar to the emergence of Silicon Valley and the post-Prohibition boom of local distillers.
“It’s not often you get to catch a groundswell at the beginning, and I was certainly passionate about it,” Niles said. “With a background in advising others what to do with their money, I decided to do the same for myself. So I moved to Oregon from Memphis, Tennessee, in June 2016 to open Rebel Roots Farms, a recreational cannabis processing company. An old friend from my bartending days in college asked me to help him with a business plan for a cannabis company and after a week’s visit, I sold my financial advisory practice and headed west.”
Rebel Roots Farms is a full-scale recreational processor able to manufacture the full extent of concentrates, extracts, edibles, topicals, and capsules. “We are able to process for medical cardholders and can transfer hemp products into the recreational system through our sister company, Delta Alternatives. We distribute to dispensaries all over Oregon.”
Delta Alternatives is a licensed hemp handling company whose primary focus is alternative cannabinoids. “We are the original producers of the amber delta-8 distillate, along with CBD infused products such as salve, tinctures, and CBD RSO capsules,” Niles said. “Unfortunately, due to state law, Delta Alternatives is not allowed to sell anything but CBD-based products direct to consumers in Oregon.”
And that’s where RBL Merch comes in.
“RBL Merch is an online merchandise store offering some of the coolest gear from some of the coolest cannabis companies around,” Niles said. “Being that cannabis companies cannot accept credit cards, most of these companies give away their awesome swag like t-shirts, hoodies, hats, and stickers that fans around the world crave. RBL Merch gives these cannabis companies an e-commerce solution to get their name and brand out to an international market without having to give away the branded material for free. We are actively looking for new cannabis companies to showcase on our site.”
For all three companies, the main mission is to provide a product that makes people happy. “From the recreational cannabis to the soothing effects of CBD RSO, to the soft, high-quality clothes and swag we sell, product function and utility is our main concern,” Niles said. “There may be flashier, more expensive brands, but you can count on us for quality, consistency, and value.”
Niles has lived all over the world. He was born in Maryland and lived more than a year in Los Angeles, Athens (Greece), Singapore, Washington D.C., Atlanta, and Memphis. He speaks conversational French and decent Spanish and is on the board of a local nonprofit, FACS Family Advisory and Communication Services in Grants Pass.
