Paschal Winery Now Back Under Original Ownership

When you walk through the doors of Paschal Winery, you almost feel like you've discovered a piece of Tuscany here in the Rogue Valley. The tasting room's cool tile floors, walls adorned with art, and rounded windows with views of rolling hills rowed with vineyards is the perfect setting to get you in the mood to sample their locally-made wine.
Roy and Jill Paschal established Paschal Winery in 1998, and after a brief change of ownership, once again are back to share their love of wine with the Rogue Valley.

The Avalon Bar & Grill Reopens

When Stefano and Anna Cipollone walked through the doors of the Avalon Bar & Grill, they knew they found what they were looking for. "We liked the high ceilings and view of rolling mountains," Anna said. "Overall, we love Talent and the close-knit community. We felt Talent had a need for another great restaurant. Starting up the Avalon again just made sense for our family."
Stefano, a first generation Italian American, grew up in the kitchen. His dad was the owner of multiple restaurants in southern Florida.

Leave Your Mark

In 1993, when Peter Cislo was an administrator at Ashland High School, he decided to make a brick that would hold a bronze plate to be used as a fundraiser for schools and churches. While drawing up the plans in his bedroom, little did he know that soon he would have to retire from education to meet the demands of a full time landscape supply store.
"Five years later, one of the distributors asked if I would like to sell their residential and commercial pavers, and the rest is history," Pete said.

Quality Paperback Books

A love of reading landed Joe and Coralee Eaton as the new owners of Quality Paperback Books located at 115 N. Pacific Highway here in Talent. "We enjoy the Talent community," Joe said. "And we like meeting new friends and participating in the community activities. So far, our experience has been very rewarding. Everyone is so positive and supportive. It's been a lot of fun...and a lot of hard work!"
The work began after Joe came out of retirement—for the second time. He worked for Bear Creek Corporations for over 30 years. After retiring he took a job as a medial transportation driver for the Rogue Valley Manor. In December 2012, after retiring from the driving position, he and his wife Coralee purchased the store from Gary Brewer (the bookstore has been in business for over 20 years).
Coralee works full-time at CSL Plasma in Medford, and joins Joe at the store in the evenings and on weekends.
