Discover a New Gem: The Talent Gem Emporium

Jewelry, gemstones and amulets have long been used in ceremonies or given as gifts for protection, strength or commerce. The Talent Gem Emporium, which opened this past August, continues this tradition by offering unique and beautiful stones, beads and jewelry that are sure to delight and inspire.

“The color or shape of a piece of jewelry can remind us of a favorite place, person or experience,” says Elizabeth Warner, one of the shop’s owners. “The ancient art of personal adornment has been in our history and I believe is embedded in our DNA. It has deep roots in cultures throughout the world.”

Warner, Claudia McAllister and Pam Landell, the owners of the Talent Gem Emporium, describe it as “a destination shopping experience.” The store is filled with an extensive selection of crystals, jewelry, beads and gifts for all ages. It’s conveniently located at 2122 South Pacific Highway 99 in Talent and has ample, easy parking.

They carry a large bead selection that includes gemstones and Czech glass beads, as well as many of the small components that beaders search for. “We are getting new items in every week, and there are quite a few one-of-a-kind pieces,” says Elizabeth. “I always tell customers to follow us on Facebook, as I post new items often.”

The owners of the Talent Gem Emporium combine years of experience with and passion for creating and discovering handmade crafts and jewelry. They spent many of their adult years in Southern Oregon as shop owners and artisans. Most of the creative pieces carried at Talent Gem Emporium show their love of the region and its natural beauty and lore.

“Come check out our amazing Indian maiden carvings or the super cool dragon carvings,” says Claudia. “We have owls, unicorns and too many small animal carvings to list. We also have beautiful inlay sterling silver pieces and a large selection of amber.”

They take special care to maintain what they call “a nice, easy vibe,” which allows customers to relax, take their time to walk through the store, and peruse its large array of unique and interesting items. Items are priced reasonably, says Claudia, and the Emporium will provide shipping and custom gift wrapping at the holidays.

The Talent Gem Emporium is open Wednesday through Saturday, 10am to 6pm, and Sunday 10am to 3pm. They are closed Mondays and Tuesdays but will be offering extended hours during the holidays.
