Grand Opening of CrossFit Potential
Adam Eggertsen moved to the Rogue Valley in 2000 to get a college degree in Health and Fitness, and now after two years as a worksite health promotion specialist, and ten years as a personal trainer and Yoga teacher, he and Mary Timoshenko have been running a crossfit training business out of their backyard, but the two will soon be opening CrossFit Potential in the new Dragonfly Plaza, Suite E at 806 South Pacific Highway here in Talent.
"We are extremely excited to move our growing gym into the Talent community," Adam said. "I have always wanted to run my own gym and I love CrossFit. It is an amazing way to stay in shape for whatever life throws at us."
The two are serious about their trade, not only do they talk the talk, but they walk the walk by exemplifying health and vitality through good living. "Mary's passion and exuberance are contagious, you can't help but being energized when you are in her presence," Adam said. Along with being a level 1 CrossFit trainer, she is also a USAW sports performance specialist. "Don't be surprised if you see her in the National Press soon, as a contender for the national championship. She works tirelessly day in and day out to improve herself and others."
To Adam and Mary, CrossFit Potential is about sharing their experience and fitness knowledge with the community, offering crossfit, yoga and olympic lifting classes. "CrossFit classes are a general strength and conditioning program," Adam explained. "It is for anyone with a bellybutton that wants to feel and look their best. CrossFit classes are constantly varied and involve strength, balance, coordination, power, flexibility, endurance and more. Yoga classes are restorative and focus on maintenance of healthy systems. Barbell classes involve training for explosive strength, power and flexibility through the Olympic lifts: Snatch and Clean and Jerk."
At CrossFit Potential, you can expect an educated and focused instructor who is there to work with whatever capabilities you bring to the table. Each session is customized for each individual so that they can get the maximum benefit with minimum risk. There are usually two instructors in every session, so the coach-to-instructor ratio is excellent.
"We keep it simple," Adam said. "We want to help the community get and stay fit for whatever life throws us. We offer a level of experience, education and caring that is uncommon in our industry. In most cases we are both present for classes, providing hands-on coaching for clients."
CrossFit Potential will be located in the new Dragonfly Plaza on S. Pacific Highway, as soon as it's ready sometime in early May.
