Christine has 30 years of experience in healthcare and 20 years of experience as a nurse.“Ichose a career in family medicine because it covers a broad spectrum of health conditions and encourages continual learning to stay updated and current on the latest guidelines,”Christinesaid. “It is never boring because it requires you to know a little bit about everything. Istrongly valueinclusivity and health equity, and I believeevery person has a unique story that deserves to be heard, and that health determinants are multi-factorial.”Christineiscommitted to lifelong learning, promoting the provision of up-to-date, high-quality care for her patients, as well as providing patient education in support of both mental and physical health to attain holistic wellness.Shereceived her bachelor’s degree in nursing with magna cum laude honors at Oregon Health & Science University and was the honorary recipient of the Community Health Care Award of Excellence in acknowledgment of her initiative in the implementation of wellness programs within the greater Ashland area. Determined to improve patient satisfaction and healthcare delivery through evidence-based evaluation of complex problems, she obtained a Master of Science in Nursing degree in Leadership and Management through Western Governors University. She expanded her knowledge base, becoming a family nurse practitioner while obtaining her second Master of Science in Nursing degree while attending Georgetown University and was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Christine is a member of the Nurse Practitioners of Oregon, a special interest group of the Oregon Nurses Association, and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.Buckley Family Health provides home visits, telemedicine, and in-office visitsto meet the patient where they are the most comfortable. “The goal is that the patient comes first,”Christine said. “I specializein healthcare across the lifespan and havea passion for improving the health of the community. My mission is to providecomprehensive preventative care, and I believethat emotional wellness isjust as importantas physical health. With my backgroundas a NICU and pediatric nurse, I’m able to better support kids of all ages, and my backgroundcaring for patients at the end stages of life has increased myawareness of how to support graceful aging.”At Buckley Family Health, patients can expect concierge style healthcare without the monthly fees.
