Expanded Services at Rollins Family Health Practice
August 2016
After Jani Rollins delivered my granddaughter Fiona on Friday, July 15, she officially became my favorite doctor in town. It was just a few weeks before that Dr. Rollins and her office partner, Family Nurse Practitioner Patti Frires, called to inform me that they had expanded their services by bringing in Licensed Aesthetician Miranda Briggs Graumann.
“Over the years, patients have been asking me things like, ‘Will you be doing any type of anti-aging aesthetic services?’ or ‘When are you going to offer Botox?’”, Jani said. “My patients wanted to come to their regular doctor’s office for those services, where they would be more comfortable. After years of thinking it over, that is how this new aspect of our practice developed.”
Miranda grew up in Ashland (she was a Grizzly and now her kids are Grizzlies) and has been an aesthetician for eight years.
“I am excited to be working at Rollins Family Health Practice,” she said. “Medical Aesthetics is part of a fast-growing industry of non-surgical procedures, and I appreciate Jani and Patti’s holistic approach toward looking and feeling your best. My job requires specialized training and certification, such as knowledge of laser theory, instructional hours, and practical experience with safety and efficacy protocols.”
Among her services, Miranda will offer Pelleve Skin Rejuvenation, MicroNeedling and PRP, laser for veins and wrinkles, and laser hair reduction, all of which can be booked online. The office also offers Botox treatments and vaginal rejuvenation, a new noninvasive treatment that aims to alleviate female sexual dysfunction, enhance vaginal tightening and help with incontinence and dryness associated with menopause. Patients must call the office to make appointments for those services.
“Medical Aesthetics is the antidote to restoring and rejuvenating damaged skin from the sun,” Miranda said. “I get great results by stimulating skin’s collagen with a synthesis of nutrient-rich products, laser, PRP (plasma rich platelets) and micro-needling treatments. There is no more compromised skin.”
Meanwhile Jani, who opened her practice in 2001 after moving from Salida, Colorado, will continue as a family doctor to women, children and families. “I feel very fortunate to be a part of my patients’ lives,” she said. “One of my favorite things is creating a healing birth experience for women. I strive to offer women their dreams to allow them to come to their personal realization of their incredible power.”
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Patti serves patients of all ages. Prior to completing her degree in Nursing, she worked as a Registered Nurse for ten years at both Rogue Regional Medical Center and Ashland Community Hospital.
“I feel my hospital nursing experience has heightened my assessment and disease management skills, allowing me to offer my patients an integrated and comprehensive medical home,” Patti said.
