Namaste Spa & Salon
“Namaste is a Sanskit word. It is a high greeting. It is honoring with grace.”
Namaste Spa & Salon opened its doors in March of 2012 at 717 S. Pacific Highway here in Talent. Owner Debbie Patterson, a Rogue Valley native, integrates a diverse background in the health industry to create a spa experience like few in the area.
“I incorporate all my past training in fitness and nutrition when addressing skin issues,” Debbie said. “I have had great success with acne and rosacea; I have continued to learn and grow along the way with special training in aromatherapy, reflexology, body treatments and thalassotherapy.”
After graduating from the University of Oregon with a Bachelors of Science in Leisure Services, Debbie moved to Seattle and worked in the area of fitness training, teaching classes in Kundilini yoga, aerobics, dance, weight training and nutrition. “I was very interested way back then in high level wellness and one’s own responsibility for health,” Debbie said. “I moved to Talent in 1988 and raised my children here. I love the Rogue Valley.” Debbie eventually went back to school at the Oregon Institute of Aesthetics and in 2002 began a second career in the area of skincare.
“Since ancient times, sites for creating health and well-being have been essential to cultured civilizations,” Debbie said. “Nurturing both body mind and spirit was seen as intrinsic to being creative, vibrant and alive. In these hectic modern times, we often forget to nourish that intangible essence which renews us, inspires us and allows us to contribute our vital energy outward to our community. I opened Namaste with the idea of sharing the knowledge I gained throughout the years with as many people as I could reach by making spa services affordable and convenient. I have worked at some of the best spas in the valley and enjoyed what I did. However, now I have the freedom to apply all the areas of study into one nice package: Namaste.”
Namaste is a full service salon and spa offering hair and skin care, waxing, nail care and massage. They have two experienced hair stylists—Annika Eibner and Dhani Pacuzzo.
Annika, originally from Seattle, moved to the area four years ago. Her passion for hair started as a young child and has continued to grow throughout the years. “I love everything about this industry,” Annika said. “I am always open to new ideas and techniques. My goal is to find the right hairstyle that will fit your lifestyle and enhance your natural beauty.” In addition, she is a licensed aesthetician and specializes in eyelash extensions.
Dhani has 30 years of experience in hairstyling, earning national awards as well as being voted Favorite Hairstylist in the Rogue Valley in 2010. He enjoys the relationships he’s created with clients—some as long as 30 years. “I feel it is a very personal experience for me and the clients I have in my chair,” Dhani said. “I strive to give my best creative energy to every client who places their hair design in my hands.”
Namaste Spa also has three massage therapists offering Swedish, Lomi Lomi and Thai massage. Other spa offerings include an aromatherapy detox footbath and Refexology.
Once a month the salon offers a men’s night entitled “A Beer and a Buzz,” featuring beer tastings, $15 haircuts, brow waxing, $5 men’s manicures and pedicures and beard care. (The next one is scheduled for June 21 from 5 to 8pm.)
“We love what we do, and welcome you with much gratitude to Talent,” Debbie said.
